Pitt McGehee Palmer Bonanni & Rivers Celebrates Cary McGehee's Recognition in The 2026 Lawdragon 100 Managing Partners You Need to Know guide
Pitt McGehee Palmer Bonanni & Rivers is thrilled to announce that Founding Partner Cary McGehee has been named to The 2026 Lawdragon 100 Managing Partners You Need to Know guide for the second consecutive year. This acknowledgment highlights her outstanding leadership of the firm as well as the broader legal community, culminating in Pitt McGehee Palmer Bonanni & Rivers’ standing as the preeminent civil rights law firm in Michigan.
The list recognizes founders, chairs, and managing partners across the United States who "inspire and lead as never before" and "are impassioned, inclusive, and represent a new era of what it looks like to lead a law firm."
Cary has spent more than three decades fighting for victims of employment discrimination, civil rights violations, and institutional misconduct. Her fingerprints are on some of the most significant civil rights settlements in Michigan history, including her co-lead role in the $624 million Flint Water Crisis settlement and her work securing $100 million and $80 million in settlements on behalf of incarcerated women and youth sexually assaulted in Michigan Department of Corrections custody.
Receiving this recognition two years running reflects Cary's courtroom record as well as her role as a driving force behind a firm whose guiding mission to preserve and protect civil rights she has never let never waver.
