THE GOLDFISH SWIM SCHOOL HIDDEN CAMERA LAWSUIT
What You Need to Know
If you or your child used the changing facilities at the Rochester, Michigan location of Goldfish Swim School, you may have been secretly recorded by former doctor Oumair Aejaz, who has since been sentenced to prison. A class action lawsuit has now been filed on behalf of those who were recorded and who Goldfish Swim School failed to protect—and you may be eligible to join.
Aejaz secretly installed a hidden camera in the community changing room at the Rochester Goldfish Swim School location that streamed live video over WiFi to an external source, capturing children and their families without their knowledge. Aejaz recorded victims across multiple hospitals and local changing rooms in the Detroit area, not only at Goldfish Swim School. If you believe you or your child may have been recorded by Aejaz at other locations, we encourage you to come forward
Upon his arrest in August 2024, detectives seized six computers, four cellphones, and 15 external storage devices, including a single hard drive containing 13,000 videos. Aejaz was sentenced in December 2025 to 35-to-60 years in prison on 31 counts of sexual misconduct, including child sexually abusive commercial activity, capturing images of unclothed persons, and using a computer to commit a crime.
While Aejaz has been sentenced, Pitt McGehee Palmer Bonanni & Rivers is dedicated to holding Goldfish Swim School and any other properties who should have protected its employees and customers accountable and bringing justice to the survivors of its negligence.
