Monday night we heard from attorneys who are working on these cases, one of the more recent is the 722 million dollar class action lawsuit against the Environmental Protection Agency. Individuals who have filed in this lawsuit and others had a chance to ask questions and learn more about the status of their cases. "First and foremost the guiltiest of them all is Governor Rick Snyder," remarked Michael Pitt, an attorney with the Flint Water Class Action Legal Team. Pitt opened the meeting by listing off the names of all 24 defendants named in lawsuits filed in the wake of the Flint water crisis, including the state of Michigan and the City of Flint. "Last but not least is the US Government - sued for misconduct and negligence of the EPA," Pitt said. Pitt noted last week the Department of Justice attorney representing the EPA turned over 60,000 documents to his team. Right now the lawsuit - filed by Jan Burgess - and 1703 other individuals - will be joined by an additional 900 individuals before it's all said and done, according to Pitt.
